Hello my name is Andy Coronado and this is my page where you can find all my CF Montreal content including my full post-game analysis, interviews, player highlights, press conference transcriptions and exclusive interviews.
Let me tell you a little bit about me:
Born in Peru but raised in Miami, Florida I grew up a fanatic of American Football, but most importantly a fanatic of the Miami Dolphins. I played soccer since I learned to walk because which Latino doesn’t? However, I soon realized that, as much as I loved everything about the sport, I wasn’t serious enough about practicing or improving to be able to seek out opportunities to grow. It wasn’t so much a disappointment, but more of a realization that playing sports isn’t the only way to be around it. You can read, watch, and analyze the team, but most importantly you can also get to know the human psychology aspect of the athlete
I moved to Montreal in August 2012 and almost instantly fell in love with the city. I kept hearing about the Montreal Impact and I went to a few of their games and it was wild! My first Impact game ever was the March 2015 game vs. Pachuca where I witnessed the 94th minute equalizer by Cameron Porter that made Olympic Stadium explode. I didn’t fully understand what was going on since I hadn’t followed the team too much before then but it would be my first opportunity to see how much this city loved it’s soccer team. Fast forward to 2019, just got off a shitty relationship, I impulsively buy season tickets to watch the Montreal Impact. Yup, that season… the Remi Garde, Bacary Sagna, Omar Browne season… yup…. anyways, I’m the kind of person that can’t really enjoy watching the game unless I know the full story of team and the players. I start researching about the player and team and the philosophy and the club and there was a lot of very interesting information! I read and heard what the blogger, podcasters, and journalist said and understood only so much as I still struggled with French. It was all in French! I decided to take it upon myself to translate and provide coverage of the team in order to reach different parts of the CF Montreal community (including the players). I dont know how far I will go with the coverage but I am very excited for the future. Do not hesitate to reach out to me through e-mail or DM if every you have any questions, feedback, or just want to talk CF Montreal!
